There are now a million products that people can buy online if they so choose. The great thing about the Internet and purchasing things on the Internet is the global marketplace that everyone now has access to. However convenient this might be in the United States we need to start buying more from home. This is why people should buy American made products only.
It does not matter if shopping online or in your local stores, it is easy to find where something was made. Sometimes all it takes is to pick up the product, turn it over, and see where the little sticker is from. If it from China, Japan, India, or some other country then your best bet is to just put it back down and keep on looking.
No matter what the strategy they use, for some reason it is working and many of the products sold in our stores are from multiple foreign countries. This is what we need to fight and some companies are starting to do just that. There are even a couple companies that are opening stores and retail outlets that sell only American made products only.
These retail operations have a unique plan. They purchase only things produced here, in this country, and they sell those to anybody who wants them. They are banking on the fact that people want to buy US produced items and if they are correct then a few more of these stores can possible change the attitudes of a few thousand American shoppers.
It has been preached for a very long time that buying home grown products will help the economy and it is true. The problem is that in some cases the other countries are making the items for a cheaper rate which allows them to charge less for them. By charging less they can sell more which in turn helps them make more and so on. The circle continues on and on again.
All of these moves started a chain reaction that all lead to a worsening economy back home in the United States. As a result it just caused more people to have less money and want to spend less in return. We needed to find a way to keep money at home or to spark the consumers to start spending and doing so on American made products only.
Our cars are seen to be inferior to theirs. This might not be true in all cases but it does not have to be. All they need is one or two vehicles to hold up longer than an American made one and the public will take it from there. The media presents this as a winning strategy and the Japanese companies take that to heart.
When they do they win. Buying American made products only should not be that difficult but for some reason it just does not happen often enough. We will keep promoting it and hopefully in a few years the sales numbers will reflect a positive change. Once that takes place we will be well on our way.
