If you are among those who lack confidence, then building self confidence should be your goal. Self confidence is very important and necessary if you want to survive in today's society. Self confidence is needed in every field whether you are a sportsperson or a student. Building self confidence is necessary for both personality development as well as self-development. As said by a great personality "If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence, you have won even before you have started". It is very easy to lose confidence but very hard to build self-confidence. Everyone wants to be successful in their life which is possible only if they have faith in themselves.

How can one build the kind of self-confidence being described here? If you are asking this question, here are three basic steps you can use:Commitment,Courage, and Action .Commitment:One of the best words used to describe commitment is dedication. To be successful in life, one must be committed to a good cause. The cause could be social, economic and cultural. Another way to see the cause is think about your purpose, vision and passion for the achievement of your purpose in and what you see of your life in future.

Let's take for example that the cause for which you have committed yourself is selling. You think, feel and is motivated to help people find products and services that would improve or simplify their lives and business processes. Your commitment to be the best salesman that ever was through study and application would endow you with the next step to building self-confidence which is courage.

I know it works because I got pretty fat a few years ago. I weighted so much that they had to put counter weights on the hospital scales when they weighed me; and I lost about 10 pounds a month for 6 months. Appreciate others.Appreciating others is another way of building self confidence. And, you don't want to get too fat; because you might pop--or at least your heart could.

Focus on your good results.The problem with us people is that we tend to look for what is lacking in their life or in their results. We forget to tap ourselves in the back and celebrate whenever we did something good. Success doesn't need to be extravagant. All the small successes that we acknowledge will contribute to boosting our self confidence. As we do this everyday, we tend to feel better and more confident about ourselves.

Look in front of the mirror and start validating yourself.There's no better way to get validated than us validating ourselves. Every morning, look at yourself in the mirror and avoid doing the "automatic" thing of noticing what looks wrong about your face or how you do not want the figure of your body. Start a habit of appreciating what's great about you rather than noticing the not so great features of your physical body. In this way, you will also start to notice the good traits and characteristics that you posses to give you a confidence boost rather than always beating yourself up.

Having a higher self confidence will result to more productive activities for your daily life. More productive activities will give your better results for your personal and professional life. It all boils down on how you look at your self. It all boils down in boosting your self confidence.Self Confidence is not achieved overnight.
