When things are looking pretty negative in life, it can be really difficult to see the light. Fear, doubt, depression, resentment all creep in and the result doesn't look to good. Frequently we are so frightened to even feel these feelings that we try avoiding them altogether, only finding that they come back time after time. What can be the way out? Is there a way out?
Through.
We must go through these things.
For many of us, we must grip onto our endless faith.
There's a particular sort of magic and grace in getting close to your emotions - even the ones that hurt - without being consumed by them. For example, it is like making an attempt to put your hand near a hot pan to feel the heat but at the same time trying to not burn yourself. These negative and agonizing feeligns and emotions, while they test our soul deeply, can turn out to be a source to our best healing however. They can take us places where we really need to bring our love and teach us about what needs some attention. Give yourself the real opportunity to actually experience these thoughts and feelings extremely while not trying to run from them and change them and see just how much you can learn. It is certainly a challenging experiene to say the least, but it's an extremely worthwhile experience in itself.
Can this experience be truly distressing when you try it? Totally. But when we start to link into the darker energies of life, we give ourselves an opportunity to compassionately deal with the things we may not have given much attention to during the past. These past events and unsightly thoughts and emotions will come knocking at our door regularly, and we can continue to pretend as if they do not exist, or we will kindly allow them in and start the conversation that has always been required.
These times will test your faith...but isn't that the true point of having faith in the first place? We need to have something that we all know we will be able to go to no matter any challenge that comes our way. So run to your faith when times get dark...you will always have a light.
