Christians should draw from the compassionate nature of God. This helps Christians to overcome all the challenges that they may face. There are other books that have been used to elaborate about the compassion of God. You can read through them.

Share the feeling of loss with friends, family and community of God. Christians are brothers and sisters sharing in the same principles. Understand the promise of God about death and meeting your loved ones in heaven. This will take away the veil of sorrow and help you focus on your journey to heaven. The promise of God is that all the sorrow suffered on earth will come to an end in heaven. With this in mind, it will be easier to let go for now knowing that you will be together in heaven. In fact, you gain consolation in the knowledge that the departed is at a good place with the father in heaven.

God can be found in prayer alongside all answers that a person is looking for. Prayer provides an assurance that all will be well. It also encourages a person to be strong in the face of adversity. It is also a way of getting to a personal point that no counselor can get.

A retreat is a perfect way to mourn a person who has gone and find acceptance. There is a lot of noise once a person loses his friend or relative. You might be involved in planning the sendoff or organizing life after that such that you have no moment to talk with God. Christians are encouraged to take a private retreat and reflect on the situation. You will hear what God is saying about the issue at hand.

A pilgrimage is a perfect way to deal with traumatizing situations. It takes you to a place away from your current situation and helps you to have a spiritual reflection. You also have more personal time with God where you can converse and address your grief. By the time you return, it will be easier to deal with the situation.

Talk to spiritual mentors and leaders. They have dealt with similar issues in the past and are better placed to provide guidance. The leaders and mentors are also the voice of God when things are thick. They will provide a shoulder to cry on.
