Meet The New Babywise Blog

By Annabelle Holman

A new blog is a resource for new and veteran parents. Complete with a Home page and the babywise blog, Bulletin Board, Forum and Chat link, it hosts a great number of details, information and networking. The administrators keep the blog fun and updated on a regular basis with information on baby news, contests and important information on baby care.

An interesting new idea is part of this particular blog. It is the idea of blog sharing. Each individual clicks a topic, then post to share a blog. When sharing, it is important to only share one which most closely relates to the topic of the blog.

If there is a new suggestion or topic which does not fit within an existing section, the blog owner may be able to create one. Whether or not this is the case depends on a number of factors. If not, ask the blog owner if any other existing section may have been a better option.

There are numerous websites on which readers can post comments. Some of the most popular ones are those which include this capability. In this case, the owner has been creative in finding multiple uses in which comments can be posted and blog links shared.

Information on parenting can be found on many different websites. The Blogosphere host many sites like this one devoted to all things baby. Unlike Babywise, others do not often offer a new schedule, contests, news, recall information and games each week. Parents can also make friends while sharing important resources and information. Whether expecting, or already having give birth, the information provided is entertaining, fun, informational, useful and varied.

Children have a way of adapting when a new baby finds the home peaceful, calm and welcoming. It is often the new parents who have more issues adjusting to new schedules, figuring out baby care when going back to work and how to deal with any pets in the home. While supervision is essential, it is also important to allow older children to give the baby love and attention

One or the other parent may need or want some alone time with the baby. This is normal and necessary for the baby and the family. When it comes to sleep, it is also important that the parents set schedules so that all family members get plenty of sleep.

If both parents are working, it is important to consider the most efficient way to run the household. Outside help can often be a good option when overwhelmed. At other times, asking family members and friends for support might be a better one.

When baby first comes home, it is important other children in the home understand the tender nature of the baby's head and bone structure. When allowing other children to hold or play with baby, it is important that a parent or guardian be present at all times.

It is also important to keep pets away from babies, especially when first home from the hospital. As pets are not aware of the difference between small toys and newborn babies, doing so is extremely important to the safety of the new family.
